CAA Architects in CT was established in 1980, serving Fairfield County, and Westchester County. Services range from the design of modest house additions and renovations to large-scale projects including estates, multi-family, commercial, and industrial buildings.

As our work demonstrates, we do not harbor preconceived ideas or a signature style, and we look forward to working with clients to produce a logical sequence of design ideas.
Since we work in parametric 3D software, the client can visualize the end product before construction begins. A typical project starts by collecting information about the client's property and personal wishlists. In renovation projects, we measure the entire building with laser instruments and create a 3D model. Then, based on the client's program, three or four preliminary design schemes are created and emailed to the client for review and comments.
Once we arrive at a design scheme acceptable to the client, we generate comprehensive 3D views and sections of the project that clearly show the proposed design. Then the preliminary design scheme is sent to three or four highly qualified and time-tested construction managers for bids. We work with the CMs to revise the design as/ if required to make the construction as efficient as possible.
If the overall construction budget is acceptable we convert the design drawings to a "permit set" process which includes the structural, thermal, and safety components required by the code. We submit these drawings to the building department for review and approval. The client then selects the construction manager that they feel most comfortable with and the project can begin. We are always available during the construction to assure that it proceeds in a safe and timely manner. We often provide sketches to the client and
construction manager to clarify certain conditions and details.
